Metawerx Mail Aliases

A mail alias is a special address that sends email to one or more real mailboxes.

For example, you may have configured the following addresses:

• john.smith@yourdomain.com
• sandra.smith@yourdomain.com

You can then set up a Mail Alias called sales@yourdomain.com, which will send email to both of these addresses.

How to set up a Mail Alias

• first set up your real mailboxes (for example, yourname@yourdomain.com)
• next, select the Add Mail Alias button on the Mail Administration Screen
• a list of your real mailboxes will be displayed
• select the mailboxes which should receive email for the new alias
• click Save

When an email arrives for the alias, it will be sent to all of the mail addresses you have selected.
